C-37 Additive Change Order #2 for Middleburg High School Lighting and Ceiling Replacement
Issue/Rationale
Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications. Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board for approval. The additive changes are for new acoustical ceiling tile for 15 closets that were not on the plans, extend a damaged smoke wall by Room 123, 75 new sprinkler heads, 108 new trim plates, and relocate 85 existing sprinklers above the original contract amount.
Recommended Action
Approve the Change Order.
Financial Impact
If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $18,667.00. The Substantial Completion date is August 8, 2010. Final Completion date is August 15, 2010. Architect fees will increase by $1,120.02 as a result of this change order.
